Our History

Bible Baptist Church of Justin was established in October 07, 1984. Founding Pastor Nolen W. Partridge felt the lead of the Lord to start a church in the small town of Justin, Texas. He was sent out of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Keller TX. His loving wife Mary Alice and their family surrendered to the goal of establishing a new Independent Fundamental Baptist church in the area. He started out in what was the old bank building. Many wonderful stories have been told of having Sunday school in the bank vault and moving buckets to catch the drips from the leaking roof. They purchased property at 415 Leuty Ave. in Justin on April 21, 1987. Pastor Partridge faithfully served as the senior pastor until October 04, 2021 and dedicated 37 years of faithful service to the Lord at this church family.

Assistant Pastor J. Brian May met Partridge's in July of 2002 and a new friendship was forged. Brian and Donna brought their family to Bible Baptist Church to work with the youth. This led to working in various other ministries under the leadership and mentorship of Pastor Partridge. Pastor May was asked to accept the role of interim pastor in October 2021 and then called to be the next pastor on January 23, 2022. He assumed the role of pastor on February 01, 2022 and is excited to build on the foundation provide by his predecessor and continue pressing on for the causes of Christ.

Our Pastor

Pastor J. Brian May accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour on January 01, 1989 at Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. He had made a profession of faith at a younger age but struggled with doubts and insecurity until he heard the clear gospel presentation of how he could be born again according to the scriptures. Pastor May was then in the US NAVY. He was called to preach about one year later in February of 1990. He fell in love with Donna Burrage and asked for her hand in marriage. They were married on July 21,1990. Pastor May was honorably discharged in September 1991 and enrolled in Bible College at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, FL. In January 1992. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries in May 1997 and was ordained into the gospel ministry in July 1997. He accepted a position as youth pastor and Christian School Administrator in Pinellas Park, Fl in the summer of 97.

He then returned to Texas in 1998 and worked under pastor Dick Webster at Liberty Baptist Church in Lewisville, TX for about 3 years in the areas of bus ministry and assisting youth ministries. He met Bro. Nolen Partridge in July of 2002 and was invited to work as the youth pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Justin, Tx. He served in various capacities under Pastor Partridge and served faithfully as his assistant pastor. He was asked to become the Interim pastor in October 2021 upon Pastor Partridge’s retirement. He was called to the pastorate of Bible Baptist Church on 01/23/2022 and officially became the pastor on 02/01/2022.
